About Us
Details of Education programme (s) CARE India’s Girls’ Education Program (GEP) has been operational for almost two decades and has worked towards empowering marginalized children, especially girls, from Dalit and Adivasi backgrounds. The program works across educational levels, from early childhood to adolescent stages: promoting quality and equitable education in a safe and secure learning environment through successfully delivering projects with diverse stakeholders. We believe in strengthening existing government frameworks and build capacities of communities, functionaries and systems to ensure sustainable changes at the grassroot levels. Further, we embed elements of one model on another to not only maximize impacts for stakeholders and beneficiaries in the geography, but also produce learning opportunities to further enhance efficacies of our interventions. CARE India was one of the 15 NGOs that were invited to present scalable and sustainable solutions in MHRD’s initiative to deliver impact at scale. Subsequent to the national initiative, CARE India has been invited in state level discussions wherein both stakeholders, CARE India and State Program Directors, placed their strategic priorities on the table and ascertained the models that are to be taken at scale.
