About Us
Details of Education programme (s) Sikshana Foundation has been operating since 2005 with focus on developing scalable, replicable and sustainable models to improve quality of education delivered by the public school system. Over the years the organization has dedicated itself to develop such models in the educational sector which has resulted in the evolution and near perfection of the Motivation Model for primary schools called “Prerana”. This intervention implemented in over 2100 schools across the state showed significant improvement in children’s learning levels for a sustained period of time and the impact has been verified by various 3rd party audits. Thus, the model has been scaled across all the 43,897 Govt. Primary Schools of Karnataka impacting 22,96,139 children. “Prerana” includes four modules namely Sikshana Stars, Student Club and Peer Learning, Modular Practice Material and finally Visual and Tangible Progress Reports. The success of this intervention is largely due to a set of processes and effective monitoring tools developed by the Foundation with focus on the usage of the inputs (effort by the students) and not just on the expected outcome.
