Key success indicators : The role of science center is to impart STEM education in the student and promote a culture of innovative through practical model and robotics
Problem statement : To Set up science center it is work space where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands on do it yourself mode and learn innovation skills .the objective of scheme is to foster curiosity creativity and imagination in young minds and includes skills such as design mind set computerization thinking, adaptive learning physical computing STEM is an acronym referring to the fields of study science technology, engineering, and mathematics It is a comprehensive learning programme used in addressing education policy and curriculum choices in schools from kindergarten through senior schools to improve competitiveness in technology development setting up state of the art laboratories at schools with the help of private partners STEM Labs are designed to create interactive environment where students can learn by doing
Proposed solution : Problem Lack of STEM education is a symptom of an even larger problem of a poorly principled education system that focuses more on assessment testing and teaching to the test as opposed to innovation that fosters critical analysis and reasoning skills In any event a problem exists either in the way high school students are learning STEM subjects or the way that teachers are teaching STEM subjects acknowledging that the problem exists is the easy part Solution While it is true that each play an important if not vital role in innovation they are simply tools that can either lie on a shelf collecting dust or be utilized to develop the most novel and creative learning experiences The true potential of these tools depends not on their identity utility or quantity but rather on their user the teacher It is the teacher that must take the initiative and invest time patience knowledge Experience and creativity to learn what the potential of these tools are how to efficiently operate these tools and most importantly how to effectively implement these tools into classroom instruction Should be setting up science center which shall setup and installation maintained Lab Under this model, STEM Lab would have the facilities as under: • Around 60 table top model for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics • Robotics demonstration model and kit with relevant manuals & videos • A tablet for students to learnScience, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics • Mapping of table tap model with curriculum and relevant backdrop, guideline, lab design, audio-video, assessment sheets and lesion plan • Teachers training for activity based learning through various model and robotics • Furniture - 20 table (to place various models and kit) • Necessary electrification • Making conducive environment by attactive paining of room
